Collaborating with other people is fun! But when starting a new business, hiring staff feels
difficult and maybe even a little bit scary. Frankwater HR provides
entrepreneurs and business owners with the skills and support to hire and

Arrival from 5.30pm - 5.45pm. There will be a 15 minute networking/getting to know
you session. Workshop commences at 6.00pm for approx. 2 hours.

The workshop will aim to cover:

- Visions and values, emmployee engagement (making them fans of your business),
corporate branding and identity, professionalism and managing expectations

- Recruitment – planning, costs, advertising, the use of social media, job
descriptions, person specifications

- Employment law – Equality Act 2010, how it applies to job adverts, roles and
interviewing

- Job Role - job descriptions, person specifications (finding the right person),
setting the salary, benefits, annual leave, sick pay

- Interview Process

- Appointment – contracts of employment, employee handbook (policies and
procedures), confidentiality agreement, referencing and pre-employment checks,
HMRC requirements, probation

- Pension Auto Enrolment - all you need to know, costs and planning for your
staging date

- Lifecycle – during the course of employment, implementing policies, probation
period, disciplinary issues, non-financial rewards
